Pumpkins and apples are always a sign of Fall to us at Levain Bakery. As the seasons change we begin to bake our apple bread and our pumpkin ginger spice bread again for the first time since the Spring. In addition to using the best ingredients possible we also try to incorporate seasonal fruits into our baking. (Although due to the popularity of our amazing blueberry muffins we have had to use frozen blueberries, but beautiful frozen blueberries of course!) A slice of any of our daily sweet breads with a cup of coffee or one of our teas makes the perfect delicious snack.

As the seasons change, the first day of Fall is Monday, we find our tastes turning from iced coffees to hot coffees. Here at the bakery we all find ourselves indulging (over-indulging?) in our delicious Illy brand coffee. Most of us here prefer espresso to brewed coffee beverages and take great pride in our barista skills.

We often get asked why we are so happy. We hear people commenting that everyone here seems to be having so much fun. Yes, we are actually enjoying our time. There is something very satisfying about creating something that makes other people happy. Seeing your work from creation to finalization. One of our goals in opening the bakery was to create a community for our community and to get to know our neighbors. There are times when the pace is very demanding and times when we can slow down and chat.
Our roast beef, romaine lettuce and horseradish mayo sandwiches (available Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays) are made on our delicious sourdough pullman loaves.

There is something so satisfying about bread. Mixing it. Shaping it. Baking it. Eating it. An escape from the the pace of our lives today. There is no rushing bread. Bread has it’s own schedule. Bread forces you to slow down and enjoy the moment.
Butter, jam. Coffee, tea. Wine, cheese. Peanut butter. Or bread alone.

One of our favorite neighborhood escapes. For a moment of peace, step into this quiet oasis and treat yourself to the spectacular view of beautiful, aromatic flowers and plants. Enjoy the calm of the flowing water and swimming fish. Take home some flowers, the perfect compliment to a box of cookies.

At 8 a.m. most customers don’t generally flock in to gobble up our super rich cookies. (Although some do!)
Everyday we bake fresh a diverse selection of traditional to eclectic baked items. We have a lot of regulars
who stop by for a coffee and breakfast.
Here’s some of what we have available for breakfast:
Breakfast gets you off on the right foot, packs you full of energy. Play hard, but first stop by and grab fresh breakfast to stay or to go.
