This month, Manhattan Magazine shares the best spots and activities in the Hamptons. Number 5 on their to-do list is to stop by our Wainscott location to pick up “mouthwatering, hockey-puck-size cookies” for “hosts with a sweet tooth.”

In this month’s Spanish Marie Claire, Elvira Lindo describes our Upper West Side location in a write-up about the role of bread in her life. She calls the Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookies delicious and destructive, and is a fanatic of the brioche. She even walks two kilometers to get her fix of our breads!

In this month’s bon appétit magazine, Tyler Perry calls New York his favorite city for cookies and burgers, citing our cookies as the best he has ever had. He says they are “so fresh and taste homemade” and he has ”a weakness for oatmeal raisin.”

Time Out New York shares “Lights, trees and treats” to celebrate the holiday season. For those seeking trees, Time Out says to check out the Origami Holiday Tree at the American Museum of Natural History and then come to Levain and try our Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie. They call it “among the city’s best delights.”

Johnny Iuzzini, pastry chef at Jean-Georges and Top Chef: Just Desserts contestant, revealed his favorite desserts to Patrick Huguenin of the New York Daily News. Our Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies made the number four spot on his list!

“The cookies at Levain are big and bold, which helps the bakers achieve the perfect balance of texture. ‘There’s something for everybody in this cookie,’ says Iuzzini. ‘It’s just the right amount of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.’”

Tracy Anderson, famous for her fitness routines, reveals her favorite places in the Hamptons in “Safe Harbor.” In the Hamptons Magazine article, she shares her favorite desserts and activities that she and her son like to try, including our Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies that they get at our Wainscott location in the East End!

In honor of National Bakery Week, starting June 28th, Amanda Sakuma of the New York Daily News lists the best neighborhood dessert destinations. Levain Bakery is listed as the Best Cookie joint and she suggests the Chocolate Chip Walnut, calling it a “large gooey mess hearty enough to be a meal.”

When OK! magazine asked Real Housewife of New York Jill Zarin what she would like as her last meal before she dies, she says steak, ice cream, french fries and a Levain Chocolate Chip Walnut Cookie. What a way to go!

Rory Tahari, the creative director of Elie Tahari is featured in this month’s “Welcome to My Life” in InStyle Magazine. She reveals her favorite things and daily necessities that help her to travel all over the globe – included on this list is our Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie, which she says is “like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups on steroids.”

New York chef and restaurateur Akhtar Nawab shared his favorite spots in his neighborhood in this week’s Time Out New York. He tells Daniel Gritzer that he frequents Levain Bakery with his daughter Ela: “She loves the cookies, but I usually get her brioche with cinnamon sugar or a blueberry muffin.” And he describes the Whole-Wheat Walnut Raisin roll as “really dense and tender.”
